Academic Integrity Policy
ScholarBridge is a learning and decision-support tool. It exists to strengthen your understanding --- not to replace it.
1. Our role
ScholarBridge:
- Teaches and guides you through your research and studies.
- Provides decision support --- readiness signals, feedback and suggestions.
- Does not guarantee academic approval, examination results, or publication.
- Does not replace your supervisor, lecturer, examiner, panel or institution.
- May question you using the Socratic method to test your understanding.
- Records AI-generated recommendations as advisory only; final academic decisions rest with humans.
2. What you must not do
- You must not use ScholarBridge to fabricate data, references or results.
- You must not use it to impersonate your own understanding --- for example, submitting AI-generated answers in an assessment context that requires your unaided work.
- You must comply with your institution's rules on generative AI, plagiarism, collaboration and attribution. Those rules take precedence over anything the tool suggests.
3. Attribution and disclosure
Where your institution requires it, disclose your use of AI tools including ScholarBridge. When you rely on generated text or ideas, verify sources, review outputs critically, and cite the underlying references --- not the AI --- in your submitted work.
4. Honest use we encourage
- Rehearsal, brainstorming and Socratic questioning to deepen understanding.
- Draft feedback on structure, coherence and readiness before you submit.
- Study aids: notes, flashcards, mind maps, quizzes, audio explanations.
- Reference checks and formatting audits --- reviewed and confirmed by you.
5. AI recommendations are advisory
Readiness scores, panel simulations, marking rubrics and other AI outputs are advisory signals to help you prepare. They are not official grades, decisions or accreditation. Your supervisor, examiner or institution remains the final authority on academic outcomes.
6. Consequences
Violations of this policy may result in feature restrictions, account suspension or termination without refund. We may also cooperate with an institution's academic-misconduct process where legally required.
